💡💼 Let's talk about your bold business idea
The empire means nothing if you never get to live in it. 🏰

The journey is the reward.

Don’t wait until it’s too late to figure that out.

With over a decade building Bloodstockauction.com, here’s what I’ve learned:

🗓️ Take a f#@king Sunday off.
👨‍👧‍👦 Spend time with your family.
📵 Turn off your phone.
🌹 Actually smell the roses—not just admire the picture.

I’ve seen it happen.

Friends gone too soon. 💔 Deals that didn’t matter in the end. ⌛

We chase goals that might take decades to hit.

And by the time we get there?

We’re burnt out, disconnected, maybe even too late to enjoy the life we built.

Is that success?

As entrepreneurs, we put the blinders on.

Grind. Hustle. Build. 💼🔥

We convince ourselves we’ll enjoy life later.

But what if later never comes?

So I walked away. 🚶‍♂️

Launched new ventures, one of which was Bloodstockauction.com.

I stopped waiting for the next one.

And that’s how I built something where I control the money—not the other way around.

I started questioning everything. 🤔

Why am I playing this game? Why am I working for people who can’t pay?

That’s when I made the call—time to do business differently.

Next one? NEXT ONE? 🤬

Why the f#@k am I begging you for money when I’ve already finished the job?

That’s when I knew something had to change.

No one was paying. 💰❌

Builders were going under. The Global Financial Crisis hit.

And I kept hearing the same excuse: "I’ll fix you up on the next one."

I’ve been married before, happily married, and in a couple of relationships.

But, if I’m being honest, I never fully committed 🤷‍♂️

Is that a good thing? Definitely not.

But it’s real. Sometimes, the work just takes over 🔄[5/5]

Work gets all-consuming.

It can push everything else aside, even the most important relationships. 💼💔

So, can entrepreneurs commit to relationships?

YES. I believe we can.

Although honestly, I don't think I've ever fully committed myself. [4/5]

For me, my relationship with my kids is #1 👨‍👧‍👦

My family comes second to none – I have three amazing sisters who are at the top of the list too.

Family is where my heart lies. ❤️

But then there’s business… and it often takes center stage. [3/5]

Entrepreneurs are all about commitment – they know how to dedicate themselves to building an empire. 🏗️

Whether it’s growing a business or managing properties, their focus is intense.

But what about relationships? [2/5]
February 13, 2025 at 12:29 AM
Yeah, mate. Definitely! It's really that mindset of you can't win everything, that you will NOT. You won't win every single thing in the business, and that's the reality of entrepreneurship, a fact of life.

Take the loss as redirection and keep moving forward!
February 13, 2025 at 12:27 AM
So now instead of chasing more, I’m thankful for the loss.

Sometimes, losing big can be the best thing that ever happens to you.

Glad I lost that money—it was a blessing in disguise. 🙏

Honestly, I’m glad I lost that one.

Imagine if I’d won $200,000—I would’ve been hooked for life 😅

It stopped me from becoming addicted to the high.

It was a photo finish, and it came second.

I lost about $15,000, which was a lot to me at that time.

I was thinking I was going to win big. And now, losing that felt like the best lesson I could’ve learned. [3/5]

I remember my first horse, Our Contender—it felt like a sure thing.

I went to the track, convinced I had the winning tip.

I was ready to pull out enough money for a good deposit on a house 💸🐎

And it won! But barely... [2/5]
