SpaceX has been the dominant launch provider for the US Government. This isn’t because it’s Elon, the Biden admin hasn’t been terribly favorable to him, but because of cost and reliability. Through engineering they’ve been able to deliver payload into orbit cheaper than their competitors.

The American astronauts currently on the ISS as well as everyone at NASA working to return to the moon as a part of the Artemis program would notice. SpaceX is pretty important to our initiatives in space.
