Urban Farmer. Aquaponics, Hydroponics, Regenerative Soil, and much more. Let's work together to build a thriving Local Food System.
You don’t build resilient food systems with renderings and robotics. You build them with simplicity, redundancy, and people who know where the wrench is.

Start boring. Stay durable.

When the cooling system broke at the flashy farm, nobody on-site could fix it. The crops died. The contracts dissolved.

The quiet farm? Still running. Still feeding its region. Still paying its team.

Yes, the blue is Borage. And there are actually two types of Marigolds. The larger ones are the Durango varietal, the smaller ones are Citrus Gems.

This was about a year and a half later. I learned so much about urban agriculture from this farm:

1. Bootstrapping an urban ag farm with innovative methods.
2. How to grow a following with zero $ in ad spend.
3. The absolute need for authentic and real relationships with customers.

This will probably end up somewhere around 800# of produce in total.

So, aside from kicking myself up, down, and all around... I have decided that I will take a fundamental lesson from this experience:

No matter what -- NEVER deviate from the planned production schedule.
