What isn’t rare is Michael Gove on the BBC. No one has done Britain more harm while declaring we must be stronger.

The British Establishment gives Johnson a free pass because he is an eager servant, but also because to critically assess the product of its finest institutions would be unpalatable.

I know a few guys like that. They come, they fix stuff, we have coffee, my wife bakes them a cake and it’s the easiest money I ever spend..

What’s more baffling to we cricket ignoramuses is why Australia are usually brilliant and England are rubbish and yet the English press approach this as if England are going to smash it. I shall ask my Yorkshire cricket loving pal when we go out for a drink tomorrow night.

It won’t be a real Defend Brexit campaign until that wee pipsqueak calls himself a Spartan, puffs out his belly and tells us pork pies are under threat from the EU.

That might be the most shocking thing he’s ever said

I am a bit disappointed in the BBC. One of its great strengths was that it didn’t feel obliged to kowtow to mob reactions. It seems enfeebled now.

I’m not sure that you really need to be all that clever to dislike having Tom Harwood’s faeces thrown at you.

Saw her last summer in London. Still amazing. Still head and shoulders above everyone else. The wonderful PJ Harvey

It is bewildering. We seem to be on the brink of abundant, cheap, clean energy, but there is a large group of the usual suspects who act as if this is a disgrace.

Andrew Neil used to regularly post when the wind wasn’t blowing and turbines contributed little to electricity generation. Of course he never posted when the opposite occurred.

At least Melanie Phillips is right about something: you really don’t want to hitch your wagon to Tommy Robinson.

These old people have been told absolute nonsense in The Mail, The Express and now online. As far as they believe we will all get richer if we get rid of electric cars and wind turbines.
