That's where I was going with the question - who is the day for, and why?

Is it for PWPs to come together as a reciprocal support network? Is it to highlight progress made over the past year? Is it to raise awareness and empathy?

Probably a bit of everything!

You're right though. Even if it's just one day in the year when everyone comes together, that's good enough!

I'm inclined to agree, Ali. My gut feeling is that these designated days don't create a year-round legacy in the vast majority of cases, but it's interesting to hear different people's opinions on here.

With regard to the social media posting, what do you want this to achieve? Fully agree on the importance of citizen campaigning and citizen journalism in this modern media age.
