Cliff Swallow, Minesing May 2024. Trying to get through my photos from earlier this year. We came across a large colony of these birds nesting under a road bridge. Very difficult to photograph in flight so most of the hundreds of photos I took ended up in the trash.

Golden Eagle Aquila chrysaetos, south Scotland November 2024. A long wait in freezing weather but worth it to see this awesome bird at close quarters. Big thanks to Alan McFadyen for achieving this

Two more Palpita vitrealis in the garden last night, D&G VC73, my third and fourth for the autumn. Also another Scarce Bordered Straw. A few migrant moths reaching here at last. Also Delicate and Gem recently.

The weather has been a little bit better of late so I've had the moth traps out in the garden a few times (VC73 Newton Stewart). The usual selection of early spring moths. Best of the bunch was Grey Shoulder-knot - still scarce in Scotland but my third record here.
