This was the way back in the 90s and one big reason I never went into game development. Project done? Go look for another job / project. It was ever thus.

Cue them being given the cutting edge-est phones...

That was my worry. Morally, I am happy with this. I am less happy about a court in country A thinking it has jurisdiction in country B. It could solve many issues, until country A is (eg) Russia and country B is (eg) Ukraine.

Wham is British - so probably greater than your side of the pond.

So it's only a security concern if they've not paid protection money?

We *did* look at them all day and were fine. What we didn't use was lots of graphics. Bright green on dark green, and so on. Monochrome, text... The world has improved, but we managed just fine!

Bedtime listening sorted!

Didn't we have Torment: Tides of Numenora? A little imagination, please!

I was beginning to wonder! Glad all is OK.

That is just a cool splash page.

Why is a fat gold necklace off limits, but a stack of cash would be fine? In many places of the world, jewelry is a wealth store. If you'd argue against people paying even if they could, fine. Otherwise objecting is hypocrisy.

My 8year old and I also watched it last night. His mother and I divorced a few years back, so there was a lot of resonance. He had several "Wows!", particularly at the Sandcastle. Thanks for putting it on my radar! (he watched it again this morning with his 14yr brother)

Also to help bottle returning. At least here they judge if a bottle matches its QR code by weight, and if the cap is missing, the bottle gets rejected and binned instead of being returned.

The cart on the sloping escalator is the primary purpose, not a bonus! Note the teeth on the escalator floor and funky wheels - like velcro.

They can change for bottles but not tap water... It's just cynical, not deep culture. (The tabs keeping the bottles on are an EU thing and very recent. They have had a mixed reception).

I've not listened to that album in decades! It lived in my car* and kept my company on many a long drive. *To be played on a Diskman with an "earphone" cable that went to a fake cassette to get the sound into the hifi! Ah, the 90's.

bsky.app/profile/iain... Note the T-shirt!
Been doing my Filmcast homework and watched @dantrachtenberg.bsky.social 's awesome Predator film. I Crossed the TRS / Filmcast / @davechen.bsky.social streams by wearing my Chenthusiast T-shirt for amusement. I just needed a DLC pod hat to complete my ensemble! (Well worth the IMAX trip!)

I did my part! (Ok, wrong franchise, but it seemed apropos)

Just posted about this - visuals and sound really warranted the long drive to see it in IMAX. Well worth the trip.
