For those who don’t know pictured is the remains of Camp Hope, what used to be a unhoused encampment being barricaded off with pride flag concrete barriers.
It is disgusting that they use the pride flag, a flag meant to symbolize acceptance as a way to keep people out of what used to be their home.

Senator Joe Baldacci will be introducing a bill that would (if the current deal with MaineHousing falls through) force the Bangor Mall to sell to the State meaning we could possible have a state run mall

Oh no I hope that ICE is safe from getting their tires ruined. Any well meaning citizen with a pair of pliers can EASILY DO THIS. I sure hope that no one DOES THIS to IMPEDE ICE from deporting people

Maine’s very own Environmental “Protection” Agency out here continuing the tradition of fucking over Native Americans and the environment they live in. Even before this Native communities were warned to not eat more then one wild caught salmon a month because of the contamination in Maine rivers.

As someone who formally worked at northern lights, they try and make themselves accessible to all. But on that point it comes at a cost to safety of patients, I’ve heard so many stories from staff like psych techs who get no help from upper staff.
