On this day in 1980 - 20 November - I was at Strawberry Studios in Stockport, to photograph ACR and Grace Jones, recording the Talking Heads song: Houses in Motion, with Martin Hannett producing. It didn’t work out and Jones didn’t complete her vocal track

The little bit of Stockport that we’re in has its lights switch on this Saturday. Stockport Silver Band blasting before and after, shops open late doing what they do, mulled wine flowing out of every door. It’s a goodun. All very welcome.
