I rarely use agent mode, mostly just ask mode. I usually go with Claude, occasionally Gemini, and hardly ever the default model. It’s been fine, but lately I’m seeing cost overruns beyond my monthly plan, even though my usage hasn’t increased, maybe even dropped.
