You can actually do it but you don't really want to install programs on random locations, You can always symlink them as you need. Its a carefully designed principal of unix-like systems not a restriction.

User space applications like games were never supposed to be run on kernel space by design. Kernel anti cheats is just lazy programming.

I remember how they lied about switching to snap firefox will make everything faster. Snaps were terrible experience, switching to arch 2 years ago was my best decision ever.
