John Curtice was on my train yesterday, which has nothing to do with anything really, but I was quite excited as it was the first time I’d seen him out in the wild. (I have a v quiet life.)

This government has demonstrated, in practice, it is more anti-migrant, anti-trans and anti-disabled than any in recent memory. All to play to Reform. That is not opinion, it is verifiable. We are debating the equivalent between "firing squad or hanging", different methods, same, terminal, outcome.

This is the position I’m in, I’m in support group for ESA (I don’t get PIP but get the Scottish Adult Disability Payment instead). Are they just going to cut my ESA completely because that’s how it looks? I have been super anxious about it & my email to my (Labour) MP went unanswered.

I’m so angry too, it seems for these idiots that since they can’t see mental health conditions they think everyone is either pretending or just not trying hard enough. It’s like we’re going backwards in this country with MPs like him & this being the view of the government. I despair.

Had to include a strong objection about Streeting's opinions on mental health in the email I just sent my (Labour) MP about the proposed cuts - everytime Streeting opens his mouth he shows me yet again what a despicable person he is.

Seeing the detail of these changes it appears they are even worse than the headline proposals, even more drastic and cruel than I would’ve feared.

It’s unbelievable that a Labour gov are doing this, with all the choices they could make they decide to take the little support disabled people get and it’s disgusting and frankly unforgivable.

Not to worry, they’re totally going to fix the economy by taking benefits from disabled and chronically sick people because apparently it’s all their (my) fault that the economy sucks according to this Labour gov.

When playing with My Little Ponies as a kid my friends and I always thought the ponies with hair on their legs were boy ponies - I have no idea whether that was an official MLP truth or whether someone just made it up one day. Does this have any connection to real horses, I wonder?

My Bollie is also a rescue - she is super helpful such as supervising anytime I print anything!

It’s baffling that they are targeting PIP, which is tough enough to get in the first place through a dehumanising, hostile process. Targeting disabled people & punishing them for being disabled is not going to fix the economy & is morally disgusting, tax fairly & deal with tax avoidance instead.

Vance was Trump's little snappy attack dog, pleasing his master, then Trump joins in gleefully with the beating. Disgusting bullying aggressive behaviour, like witnessing a gang of older boys battering a kid after school. If I was American I'd be deeply ashamed these people were representing me.

I listened to your Pod today and I’m so thankful for you both, you express my outrage, you don’t shy away from the awfulness that is going on but you also make me smile & laugh & haven’t done that much lately, thank you!
