disappointing. i was interested in the project but seeing all that shit go down and the out-and-out dismissal of abuse allegations because they were made against a popular figure by people who were accused of being associated with LB really let a bad taste in my mouth

i would also contest that most (if not all) cis people do experience gender, its just that they usually do not have their attention drawn to it the way that trans people have to. cis women who present masculinely express discomfort with being misgendered, for example

there is also the more complex nonsense along the lines of how i see myself in the future, who i am attracted to (as a gay man), my own identification with queer masculinity rather than the heteronormative ideal, etc.

i would describe "feeling" my gender partially in relation to my body - the sensation that the current sex characteristics i have are wrong and cause me distress - and partially in relation to my social identity, in that being referred to as a man, he/him, masculinely, makes me happy
