I see you've found what you're looking for already, but there are also Android containers like Waydroid, which let you run android apps on Linux if you can get an apk. Just in case you wanna try other apps. However this may not be a lot better than just getting your phone next to your computer.

do you know about turning adult content filters off in settings (they're on by default) and also about how to properly tag your own posts?

after you add a photo to a post, the "labels" button should appear at the bottom of the editor, it has a shield icon. there are 3 adult content related labels, 'suggestive,' nudity, and adult content. this would likely be the 3rd.
