Hypnosis, realistically, cannot take effect without the subject's consent, as hypnotism can't force you to do something your mind does not allow, such as murder, or activities with someone you do not trust. While many a hypnoartist take liberties (or simply lean more towards drawing mind control), many also find the idea of hypnosis being used by loving couples to be tantalizing. The idea of an eager subject, or even multiple willing subs, gives a feeling of power to the artist and/or viewer. Not just power, but power over subjects that trust them, creating a romantic yet kinky feeling that appeals to many people. To others, being a willing subject is enticing, giving a feeling of safety to them that provides comfort.
