#JoeVember2025 Day 18 Crossover

Being a Sonic Fighter didn't prepare Road Pig for Guile's Sonic Boom.

#Joevember2025 Day 17 Science Fiction

Cornered within a GI Joe base, Zartan activates his holographic image inducers and transforms his appearance into that of General Hawk. He's got the look down, but can he nail the performance well enough to get the files he came for?

#Joevember2025 day 16 - Technology

Zartan inspects his Chameleon Swamp Skier prior to infiltrating a Cobra Terrordrome. It’s amateur to risk your escape route for lack of preparation and Zartan is anything but.

#JoeVember2025 Day 15 catchup

Merchandising.

Got both of these in the mid 90s, funky backstock I guess? I remember the Woolworth’s had what seemed like hundreds of the Show Case an entire wall really. I got the band-aids at the Cub Foods, my mom indulging my collecting from early on.

Yeah. Golden really understood the assignment. Tweak a neat real world vehicle, slap on some guns, and give it a cool color scheme. Exactly how Hasbro did it a lot of the time which helps explain its longevity. That, and it filled a minor, but important storytelling role.

Custom Marvel Legends Howard the Duck. Same recipe most people used, Fortnite legs modded to the Legends figure. I did shorten them, maintain the proportions, and now I have both the Quinones and Colan/Brunner versions for my shelf. Waugh!

#JoeVember2025 day 14, Large Vehicle.

Never had a toy, didn’t have an official name until recently, but the Cobra Aspid, designed by Michael Golden and first appearing in Yearbook #2 is one of the most enduring comic original designs. Love this thing, maybe it’ll get a toy someday.

Dani took (most of) the day off, so after we cleaned the yard up some, we went to the free zoo. 60+ degrees and sunny in mid November meant lots of lazy cats. We have a nice dinner coming up here too (thanks @pjlind.bsky.social ! )

Things are still weird, but nice to take a day together.

#JoeVember2025 day 13

For a comic image to recreate, I went for the biggy, the issue best known outside of the Joe world, issue 21, Silent Interlude. Written *and* drawn by the architect of G.I. Joe, Larry Hama.

#JoeVember2025 day 12, Joe From Your Birth State.

Bazooka and Tripwire don’t have much in common. That said, and despite Tripwire mostly growing up in Japan, they’re both Hibbing MN boys, and as such, have fishing *opinions*. Bazooka uses Tripwire’s detector to demonstrate his casting technique.

Flint in the back of the command center as the team reports in on Cobra's movements while also talking about his goofy ass beret with safari flaps.

#JoeVember2025 day 11, Veterans Day.

Hasbro has yet to do any of the Joe pilots or other characters from the Air Force in Classified so War Machine gets to represent that branch for now.

#JoeVember 2025 day 10. Recruitment.

In the back room of a Sportsman’s Club a Fred series Crimson Guard and a Trooper talk with likely recruits, former and current military and law enforcement and those “concerned with the direction of their country”.

Missed yesterday, so catching up. #JoeVember2025 Favorite Cobra. This’ll change next time I’m asked I’m sure, but I have *always* liked Raptor, and I’ve liked his goofy ass more the more I got to know him. Joe isn’t the only place an accountant in a bird suit could happen, but it’s one of the few.
November 6, 2025 at 10:13 PM
Almost certainly due to the fact that the rights to story and art for Bizarre Adventures work was retained by the creators (Tom DeFalco and Herb Trimpe here) and Joe was *already* a licensed book Marvel and Hasbro rejected the original # 3. The Patrol was reworked into the Oktober Guard 2/3

#JoeVember2025 Day 4: Sub Team

As is my wont, going weird again with the Pravda Patrol. Did these figures for a Joecustoms Group Project. For those not in the know, The Pravda Patrol were originally going to appear in GI Joe #3 having shown up in an 8 pager in Bizarre Adventures prior. 1/3

#JoeVember2025 day 3, Favorite Joe

This is a tough one, but I think I’m gonna go for Lightfoot. His first appearance in Special Missons 13 really established him as a dedicated member of the team, and his second (and pretty much last) in 82, having to go through training again, stuck with me.

Christ I’m internet poisoned, because even with the full version of the abbreviation appearing twice prior, I absolutely didn’t take JO Day as they intended.

#JoeVember2025 Day 2, Troop Builder! I only got into Joe in ‘92 so finding old stock at KayBee was great. The Frag Viper grabbed me hard, and while I understood the idea of the gear, I didn’t actually learn what Jai Alai was for years. Now enjoy this brainworm for days.

My collection is mostly Classified now, but this should be fun! Off the bat though, let’s get wild! For #Joevember2025 day 1, we’re going with the Locust, kinda. This is a vac molded sheet made with the original wooden form for the Hasbro presentation model of the Locust, and there’s a story . . 1/
