Borrow from the NBA Cup and divide the SL teams into pools and schedule them to play each other in the league in the first 5-6 weeks so the games count as league games and qualifiers.

State of Origin should never be tied to the international game. The eligibility rules should make it so that young stars should never have to choose not to play Origin to play for their nation because they will likely choose Origin.

Apart from people who listen to English RL podcasts, I don't think many international league fans have heard about this. It seems to be league with lineouts, unlimited tackles in your own half and 5m rule.

Apart from people who listen to English RL podcasts, I don't think many international league fans have heard about this. It seems to be league with lineouts, unlimited tackles in your own half and 5m rule.

It's been a bit quiet this week on the #NRL transfers front compared to the last few. Do we think we will see any more big names change clubs before next season?

I actually like this. Very similar to what I was proposing. This is as long as it needs to go over on the full to get the extra tackle.
According to a report on WWOS, the #NRL is looking at changing the rules around kickoffs ahead of the 2025 season.
