We never pictured this outcome when we brought him home in May, but our #1 rule in adopting was "the cats were here first". Also, we're not looking for training advice right now. We've been through the ringer with multiple trainers, and would appreciate an understanding that we're trying our best 🙏💜

It’s been really hard to not wallow in feelings of personal failure through this. This has been one of the hardest periods of my adult life, and has thrown me into a pretty severe depression to be frank. Gordon is mostly a big goofball and sweetheart, and we do love him very much.

Under no circumstances will we be taking him to a shelter, and are dedicated to making sure that he ends up in his forever home. If anyone in the SoCal/LA area thinks you might be a good fit, or know one, please reach out. Unfortunately the rescue we got him from is beyond useless, to say the least.

A bummer personal update. Unfortunately, we’ve been working to find a new home for Gordon. We realized that he needs more than we can offer him, & has started to develop reactivity and prey drive towards the cats. We’re first-time adult dog owners, and are frankly out of our depths with his needs.
