A Ordem de St. Michael and St. Jorge é a mais alta condecoração que o governo britânico concede aos seus militares (hoje a civis) que atuam no exterior. No centro ela tem a imagem do anjo São Miguel derrotando o diabo. O detalhe da cor de ambos não é coincidência para os colonizados africanos.
