I just saw a headline this morning claiming PS5 Pros, refurbished and sold by Amazon, are "super cheap" during Prime Day or whatever (or something along those lines)

They were still 600-something.

It's may not be a surefire solution, but there's a gadget you can equip that negates most of the knockback and gives you a speed boost upon colliding with other racers. It's something I use constantly.

In general, though, I think the push has something to do with a character's power parameter.

And as a former gifted kid from Brooklyn, specifically, reading the headline (not the person's response, I stress) has me like

Yeeeeeeees, pleeeeeeease

No kid should have to go through what's essentially a pipeline to poor mental health by age 10.

I'm sure I'll get some flak for the, um, "warp-piping" I'm doing for Nintendo, but considering the Galaxies are literally my top 2 games of all time...yeah, they've got me hook line and sinker. I'll even preorder those amiibo and Rosa's storybook.

Bring back the amiibo/Mystery costumes (or some unlockable form thereof, if they don't want to push amiibo as hard as they did ten years ago) and yeah, I'd be more than sold.

Hell, mouse controls alone are an exciting prospect.
