My kids are getting me back into Pokémon cards. They're into them, so I figured I'd join them. I've been binging Deeppocketmonster with them. Ended up creating a board to collect Shuckle cards.
I'll have to take a better picture without the glare.

Anyone ever "play" the Action Max? It was the first real action game system apparently.

Has anyone played Deadly Premonition? I finally beat it last year and both loved and hated it at the same time. 🤣

2) 007 the World is Not Enough

I played this game long enough to see it didn't play exactly like Goldeneye and dismissed it. I heard it was pretty good though so this is one I need to revisit.

1) I'm taking liberties with this list because I consider my backlog to be games I've started but never finished. One of those games is Alundra. It had such a steep difficulty curve for me when I was younger that I gave up. I'll get back to it one day, but I'm not sure that'll be anytime soon.

Saw this on Facebook with no source. Thought it was funny.

9) Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening

One of, if not my favorite Zelda game. Also one of my Top 3 Gameboy games.

Is anyone up for a strange trilogy? These movies will have you saying OOOHH MY GOOOOOD!

8) Mega Man X

One of my favorite platformers. It has great game play, a fun story, memorable characters, and an amazing soundtrack.

7) Parasite Eve

I haven't played this game in years, but I remember almost everything about it like I played it yesterday. The visuals in this game are stunning and the story is incredible. Plus it has some of the most interesting creature designs of any game I've played.

6) Final Fantasy 6

Probably my favorite SNES JRPG. This game is damn near perfect.

5) The Town with No Name

Is it a good game? Debatable
Does it look like it's made with MS Paint? Yes.
Is it funny? It's hilarious.

Honestly, the gameplay isn't anything to write home about, but the humor is what makes this game great. You can play it on DOSBOX & I highly recommend it.

4) Live A Live

This is a more recent favorite of mine. It's like an anthology RPG, and it somehow works. There are multiple stories and they were all memorable. It's also neat because players don't always need to level up to beat a boss (although it does still play a part in some stories).

3) Darkseed 2

This is my favorite of the Darkseed games. I love a "so bad it's good" game/movie and this game fits that genre 100%. It isn't as creepy as the first game, but the story is so off the walls crazy that I still enjoy it.

Plus it's unintentionally funny.

2) Darkseed

Here's a really solid point and click horror game. Darkseed follows Mike Dawson as he tries to get an alien embyro out of his head.

The artwork is by H.R. Ginger and is disturbing in some parts. It's juxtaposed by goofy voice acting, though (which makes it a classic in my mind).

1) Final Fantasy Tactics

This is my go-to tactical RPG. It was the first tactical RPG I ever played and nothing has really come close to dethroning it as my favorite.
