Argh!! The nightmare we’re living!! Please lance this boil and get rid of the nasty stuff inside! This country needs to open up and look at the whole sordid mess so we can address it (justly and fairly) and begin healing and rebuilding. We have SO much work to do, but we have to handle this first.

If we let ourselves be educated, we can understand the realities of life in past eras in a deeper way than we might get in history classes or on tv.

I thought the same thing as I was listening to something about the topic on NPR. If I were still in the age group of concern, I doubt I’d want to bring a child into this world.

And don’t imagine they can suddenly convert to You-Pick operations. Non-skilled pickers can damage the spurs which produce the cherries if they pick carelessly, damaging the prospects for the following years’ crops. Talk about exponential ripple effects.
