I find crying a lot like vomiting. Feels terrible when you're doing it, everyone around you wants to help somehow but is afraid to get too involved, and you feel a lot better after. Overall not a fun time.

Paint smaller from your elbow and wrist for a little bit? I'm no real visual artist but I do play violin, and I've had shoulder trouble on the right before. I limped through using only my elbow and wrist to bow, and just turning up the volume on the instrument (I was playing electric at the time.)
