some weeks ago i watched the movie and had the same thought. inspired me to do this from a screenshot
a redraw i did of a screenshot from the lorax. the moment the onsler is making a thneed. my modification makes the letter ai appear in the need with a darker color to contrast. screenshot taken of the movie the lorax from 1972. oncler is showing to the lorax his creation of the thneed that he destroyed a truffula in order to make.

instructions:
1. find fresh fallen leaves. make sure there are no bug friends on them
2. arrange your flat forest finds on a surface
3. place a paper over your findings
4. grab a crayon(color pencil works too) and scribble. aim to go lightly but with constant pressure
and done!
