They are everywhere. I've been watching a huge field of them north of Paso Robles grow for 2 decades. It's a really pretty spot right along the Salinas River and sprawling throughout the fluvial floodplain.

It is rooreh. At least that's the name in trying to remember. It's more commonly known as miner's lettuce but the Ohlone call it rooreh. Robin started a little patch in the front and it makes me happy to see it pop up this time of year.
