funnily enough for 7K, a 3 degree polynomial fits a lot better than a logarithmic curve would due to being so much more consistent
two graphs side by side, the left one showing the top 100 7k maps by star rating and the right one showing the top 100 4k maps by star rating. the graph on the left is much less steep and looks more linear than the graph on the right, indicating more consistency near the top range of difficulties.
