yeah the gen 6 games are really good for new players. The newer switch games and i think gen 7 (which is on the 3ds) actually tell you if your moves are super effective if you have fought the pokemon before which is pretty cool

the effectiveness chart is pretty damn confusing yeah. I have a bookmark on my browser for a chart of it :P since remembering the resistances is a pain. I love playing the older titles since they have way less options. that might be why I love gen 5 so much

Ive played the games for my wholelife so I cant even imagine how it would feel to start them now. How does pokemon feel difficult to get into?
