I honestly see 60% people complaining about 6-7, 20% people defending it, 15% people using it ironically, and 5% people using it genuinely.

Man, I still have like (checks notes) 485 games to play before I get the chance to check out Popful Mail. It was nice to see someone talking about it in a manner other than "Check out how expensive this game is".

Mm, I think I can see it. It's probably when the slop is accidentally good. "Slop" is a statement of preparation and intent, not of quality. The millionth monkey on the millionth typewriter producing Shakespeare would be an example. As a guess, haven't run into the term personally.

I do have an issue with Christine being called underrated. Or at least I did until I just checked RT right now. Wow, literally every person I've ever spoken to about it holds it in the highest of regards with many ranking it higher than The Thing. Never knew perception of it was so mixed.

I never trust Archive.org as a reliable determinor of if something is public domain. I love it to bits but as someone who researches for public domain status it is absolutely riddled with false claims of public domain status and it has no way to interact with those claims.

Depends on implementation. Is this affecting both tabs or just the discover tab? I wouldnt be opposed to it affecting just the discover tab giving you more control over it. Sometimes I don't follow someone just because I like THEIR comments on a niche topic but I dont have an interest in that topic.

I may have forgotten that PA is older than The Matrix. And older than She's All That which for some reason feels like 5 years older than The Matrix even though they came out the same year.

True but there is a difference between a fantasy and a memory. What I said was what they have said to me, but I think they meant "How do you know she's not comparing you to other men." It all ties into the cynicism the world is in. The kind of world where "mid" implies bad.

There has been a wide variety of reasons over the millenia. However at the moment I think the primary (but not exclusive) one is fear. Many people think sex is a competition so they are competing with every shadowy nebulous person in their partners past.
