55 yo transgender woman from New Hampshire. I run a virtual world GroovyVerse that is home to amazing, creative people. I am a former 2024 candidate for State Representative. I did well, and came close to winning. Kind of relieved... :)
Dang. I was hoping she was on here. She left X and I am really interested in using the Mi'kmaq language model she wrote.

I really enjoyed your talk at the OSCC last December. I was hoping you'd jump ship and stay with us. I tend to think that Opensim is more what you had in your heart when you started all this. It's a pretty groovy place with no skyboxes or banlines. :)

Actually I think the Lindens are probably doing the best they can. I am in the SL Coast Guard and send in tickets about improving waterways for boaters and stuff. They usually are good about answering back, and in a lot of cases they are kind of painted into a corner.

This is what flying my helicopter around the mainland looks like. I am in the SL Coast Guard and learning to fly a Jayhawk and Pelican. :)

I actually had a PDP 11/23 when I was a kid. My neighbor was an engineer at DEC, and gave it to me when he was cleaning his basement. It had two 5mb disk platters, and a sexier case with a smoked-glass (well, acrylic) door. It was my first computer, then I upgraded to a Commodore 64 :D

And no. It is not a Robert Palmer video.

I am making this area mostly PBR for the new viewer.

Thank you! <3 I have actually been in #secondlife for 18 years, and overall, it's pretty blah. But I found this neighborhood that is a faint echo of the splendor of GroovyVerse, and decided move in and amplify the existing groovy vibe of the region. :D

On the todo list.. Get it all working with SSH, and also provide a secondary PulseAudio stream. This will be a slick little viewer. It is not a viable replacement for the real viewer, but it will provide a way for new people to casually visit the world without committing to downloading a viewer.

That is beautiful! <3

A good example of science not seeing things right in front of us. The mycelium. As Pagans, or indigenous people, we used to be ridiculed for having a belief that the earth and nature, in it's entirety, is a living being. Now our interconnectedness is widely accepted.
