Intel can't narrow the ever widening gap in the short run. For efficiency and national security, the U.S. should continue to rely on the current supply chain dominated by TSM. Protecting Taiwan indeed serves the American interest. Asking Nvidia to help Intel won't work. /2

"Reciprocal Tariffs" can benefit the US's import-competing industries at most, yet at the expense of America's domestics consumers and exporting industries as resources would be redirected to some extent away from its comparative advantage industries. Worse yet, trade war!/2
