Prefers intellectual discourse without putting down silly people while not dumbing down their intelligence to understand better.
Then the shutdown continues.

Who is writing this screed for this deranged creature? His brain can only chain up two or three words at a time without any meaningful thought. He will fall asleep even before a sentence completes. Is Steven Cheung that ghost pen behind the mad spew?

What in a shutdown can avert the demise of the ACA credits in Jan 2026? Are people going to do a french revolution to give cause for the orange to invoke the Insurrection Act? What can Dems do between now and Jan 2026 to rebirth the ACA credits?
November 11, 2025 at 5:10 AM
Yes their point is to make every Christian look like an asshole to embarrass them into silence, or to make nonbelievers rage in glee to convert them to "assholism".
November 11, 2025 at 5:01 AM
Calling them fuckups won't change a thing and yes, they are assholes. Be out there everywhere to defeat every asshole candidate.
November 11, 2025 at 4:56 AM
But even if the vote didn't get through to pass the CR, would ACA credits nevertheless expire any way and premiums go through the roof? The cart is already chained before the horse. Either rearrange the set up or just kill the horse, burn the cart or both. Did Dems have to make a Hobson's choice?

If ACA is put back in during negotiations for the budget, then the 8 Dems will look like people willing to die on the beach to seize the landings. They will be known as patriots. Hope they don't have to die in vain.
November 11, 2025 at 4:42 AM
This may be realised only because 8 Dems forced the House back into session if Repub wants to rectify the CR that passed the Senate with 60 votes. Come with it, Adelita Grijalva must be sworn in, leading to a discharge to vote on releasing the Epstein files. Dems cannot have the cake and eat it too.
November 11, 2025 at 4:36 AM
Absolutely, ACA must be extended through 2026 or Repubs will not get Dem votes to pass a budget. Then the shutdown the next time will be the albatross to hang on the GOP as an eternal curse of its perfidy.

We shall see what happens in the next two weeks. Guerrilla warfare is not the only strategy. Winning in elections takes time to command policy. In the meantime, strategize to keep what you have, loosen the adversary's hold and fight it from gaining ground which is part of guerrilla warfare.
November 10, 2025 at 9:57 AM
No, ACA is already dead even if Dems do nothing to create openings. Dems cannot force Senate to include ACA into the House CR. Any extension has to be voted in the Senate and with a shutdown there is no incentive for Repubs to agree to a vote. A vote can still fail with the onus on Repubs squarely.
November 10, 2025 at 9:26 AM
Without the 8 Dem votes, ACA is already dead, and it might still be dead regardless. Dems don't have real offensive power till they win outright in the midterms. Strategic defence requires the adversary to make the wrong moves and openings to chop them up piece by piece.
November 10, 2025 at 8:56 AM
Those 3 Repub women swung votes were never guaranteed. MTG's vote seemed tight, the other two are up for bids. So wait and see. The 8 Dem senators also made a high risk calculation. Repub senators have sworn to kill Obamacare and they might just do that killing their constituents.

It is 50 50 for the Tennessee seat.
November 10, 2025 at 8:33 AM
No risk no gain. The shutdown will not hurt the Repub Senate beyond being tarred as villains that they wore on their lapels with impunity. The Dems's move shifts the dagger on Mike Johnson. Mike might choose to die on the stake and then the shutdown continues which is a perfect noose around the GOP.

Justice Jackson played deep on this poker hand. She forced the hands of 6 conservative justices to close and let the lower appeal court decision to become the final say to release the SNAP at least for 2025.

The will of God is mysterious but always for evil to be defeated despite what the wicked thinks.
November 10, 2025 at 8:19 AM
This is a tougher strategy than voting for a chance to vote for an extension of ACA. Dems who voted for CR's passage to open the government hoped public pressure and shame on the Repubs will force some of them to vote with Dems to extend the ACA if even a vote is on the table. High risks are taken.
November 10, 2025 at 8:16 AM
Hope there are some teeth that can bite if the Senate Repubs renege on the deal. Would the House need to come into session to rectify the Senate vote, opening up the chance for the discharge to release the Epstein files too?
November 10, 2025 at 8:09 AM
I hope her strategy works to force the House into session, seat the new Arizona rep, set up a vote on extending ACA to Nov 26 pass the midterms and the Fed Courts to release full SNAP. Nothing is a guaranteed outcome other than time to run for the few chess moves.

One of the worst consequences of extremist capitalism is for prisons to become a business and then let their owners to lobby and corrupt politicians for a broken criminal justice system to jail more people.
November 10, 2025 at 7:50 AM
Does it mean the House has to come back to rectify the Senate vote? In that case, the House sitting must require Mikey to swear in the Arizona representative. What is the next to happen?
November 10, 2025 at 6:09 AM
Tim will be primaried if he votes for it. The Repubs don't care as long as Obamacare is killed, a name they tried to get rid off for 15 years.
November 10, 2025 at 3:11 AM
Open the shutdown, and they vote to kill ACA or Obamacare. They have been waiting for this opportunity for 25 years.
