The thing that bothers me the most about all of these posts is that these women actually have to ask others if behavior that is clearly indicative of contempt is wrong.... hurts my heart.

When you get so high on your concept that you forget end results actually need to be appealing. (High-five to the account mgr who sold this in tho - earned that salary!)

I had to read this story twice because I couldn't wrap my head around the logic. You'd have to meth-jitter your thinking into an esoteric tangle to consider this viable strategy. Dem leadership really is killing my dreams. We're in darkness, we need some heroics. Instead we have Schumer.

My point is specific to tonite. If you're the opposition party, act like it at every opportunity. Create MEANINGFUL SPECTACLE — which doesn't require budget or large organizing; it requires fresh ideas (or old ideas, like Al Green utilized). Dems were embarrassing tonite & are rightly being mocked.

An important element of politics and the role of a politician (or legislator, if you will) is messaging. Sometimes messaging must take the form of theater to move emotions. If an elected doesn't consider the power of public stance in times of horror as part of their responsibility then it's a fail.
