I think if we give him a chance we should also tamp down fan expectations and call it a rebuild. Incorporate younger players as Critch has done since he took over. That’s fair. Framing will be important.

It’s not like Hartel would have 15 assists if Teuchert-Becher wasn’t awful. And even if he did, still not enough.

Exactly. Can’t compare Hartel to Becher and Teuchert. You can argue Joyner and McSorley are better. Is Hartel better than Zinckernagel? Mihailovic? Klauss better than Joveljic? Musa? Those are barely playoff teams. This is the comparison we should be making.

Exactly. Can’t compare Hartel to Becher and Teuchert. You can argue Joyner and McSorley are better. Is Hartel better than Zinckernagel? Mihailovic? Klauss better than Joveljic? Musa? Those are barely playoff teams. This is the comparison we should be making.
I know a lot of City fans disagree. But I stand by this. Team gives him a lot of freedom to be creative and he doesn’t create quality shots and he doesn’t finish well enough. At the end of the day we need 15-20 more goals. Hartel-Klauss won’t give us that. Who’s supposed to score all those goals?

Hartel is so subpar. If he’s playing the #10, the best city can finish is 7-9 on the table.

Hartel ain’t it. Klauss isn’t clinical enough. We can’t beat XG with these players as our main source for goals. We can’t possess, beat high press, be physical in the middle with Hartel.
We need a proper #6. Then a #8 who can progress with the ball. This fits Lowen. Not Durkin, not Morales.

He was okay. I’ve seen this a lot, he comes in, he has to stay focused all game and makes the saves he should make even though there’s a lot of them.

He was okay. I’ve seen this a lot, he comes in, he has to stay focused all game and makes the saves he should make even though there’s a lot of them.
