The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe is so clearly introducing Narnia for the first time that it annoys me to suggest any other sequence. My memory of The Magician's Nephew is the material is too thin to be a good introduction by itself, but then I haven't read it since I was a kid.

Reminds me that I started rereading all the Narnia books a while ago, but got bored after Dawn Treader. I should get back to it! Not doing them in chronological order though - publication order or GTFO
