Don't think many Americans realise how weird the nationalist ceremonials at US sports events are to those from outside the country. They're already fully primed to operate as a propaganda and control tool for a new authoritarianism.

Assuming for a moment this argument is valid. I do wonder why those that make it don't stop and reflect that being compelled to vote for a party that hates you and 90% of your politics isn't an indictment of our democracy.

This road in Bristol has is on a bus route that uses standard double deckers that can't get passed each other when they meet. Any new bus/ tram system needs to be long and narrow in this city.

Not long ago, out of government, any kind of talk like this was dismissed as sixth for politics. It was all about winning and anything else was navel gazing. This is why the Greens matter so much - someone has to set the agenda.
