It is thanks mainly to the Jam that most Brits think of mod as a rock music phenomenon. That’s the way it is categorised on RateYourMusic, for example. People won’t accept it applied to Graham Bond, Georgie Fame and Sue Records releases.

I quite like Pink Thing. His later penis song (can you believe there are two), My Brown Guitar, is worse IMO.

I *love* this record - dying to get a copy of it one day. The echo at the end is mindblowing!

He reminds me a little of Steve Lacy, who incredibly did manage a Billboard #1 in 2022. Seems promising!
