A judge has thrown out an attempt by James Howells to sue Newport City Council. He wanted access to a rubbish dump to dig up a hard drive containing the key to £600m of Bitcoin, or compensation.

I spoke to Irish hauliers and exporters today about the storm-induced closure of Holyhead for this article. “Disastrous” was the most optimistic take, and that was before the port’s closure was extended into next week!
