Early Christmas present - @hicksy.bsky.social sculpted Kampfgruppe Arnhem minis supplied by Empress Miniatures. Can't wait to get them painted up. Really beautiful sculpts and v little tidy up to do... I might get some more before they close the hickstarter down.

For allied armour i use colourforge deathrattle green spray, then a wash of 5050 lahmian medium/skeleton horde, then over brush with russian uniform and highlight with RU mixed with some pale sand, then weather the living shit out of them....

Managed to find a few mins to get the tracks and details done, and then a doae of Streaking Grime and some mud effects... dings and weathering to come. LHS side is for comparison. Makeup sponges are the best...

Now this was great fun to do. The markers made it so easy. Was dreading cracking out the airbrush but this took about an hour and a half of work at most whilst listening to We Have Ways and the seige of Malta.

Time to get those marker pens working hard... all the AFV support options for the Germans are going to get cammo'd up, wqshed and chipped and weathered. This is going to be a haul.

The bayonet has definitely plunged deep. Can't seem to put these down at the minute. Female I'm calling done, rest of the lads have had masks highlighted and flesh tones done. The rest can wait for a while.

A touch more work on the female cultist. Not super happy with lapel and shoulder colour so may yet change this. And need tonbring the skin tone up a but but otherwise, starting to get there.

I did promise myself that I'd get back to The Silver Bayonet and managed to grab some time once the kids were in bed to get these Cultists all basecoated up. Streaking grime next and then a quick dab of highlights...

First printed mini primed and zenithaled. That this came out of a tank of goo in my spare room blows my mind. Lessons definitely learned on slicing and printing workflow. Looks like I'll be building an early war platoon as well. Need to get the Blitzkrieg book as well then I guess.
