I don't understand why the states (especially blue states) don't just step up and create a not-for-profit and/or universal healthcare plan. The Canadian system isn't just one system, it's done by each province.

If it happens, I hope every enabler will be disbarred, censured, and arrested by individual states for misappropriating public funds and conspiracy to defraud taxpayers. He may be immune to consequences but his enablers should be exposed and punished. It's time to go after the enablers.
