Morning! Big boy came in and kicked out the small bucks chasing flagging does in that spot yesterday.
Here's to hoping he chases the doe my way and visits my dad.

First day hunt success. Not as mature of a buck as I usually like to take, but one of the most mature we had on camera this year. Freezer won't be empty, but I'll need doe to fill it up.

Since moving into our house we have seen some stellar light shows, but this is the first "traditional" aurora to the north we've had.

More Oldsmobiles than Mustangs in Mahtowa this morning. I can't remember a car show with that. My vote for people's choice, 67 442, but with a built 455 out of a 70 instead of the 400 from 67.

Dropped a valve into the cylinder when changing valve seals... bad.
Able to guide the valve back in reaching through the exhaust port while hand cranking the engine.
No head removal required.

I don't believe the "Q word" jynx. But if I have to take out the pharmacist "oh shit kit" (regardless if I need to use it), it stays out until the end of my shift to ward off evil spirits.
