No worries at all. I was ordained through the Universal Life Church, a Unitarian/Non-denominational group that offers basic ordination for anyone seeking it, hence why I’m a non-denominational pastor/priest. Theologically I would say I lean more Anglican/Lutheran with some Reformed theology.

(2/2) While it is not unusual historically for monastic cardinals to wear habits (even some popes have) in the modern day it is sometimes seen as making a statement.(As others have pointed out, Jesuits do not wear habits & are not monastics) See some examples of modern cardinals in habits below.

(1/2) This would indeed signal him as being a member of one of the monastic order like others have said, most likely Franciscan, Benedictine or maybe Dominican (though they typically wear white).
