In my mind it’s: Season 1 is season 1, seasons 2-5 are old school (the piano theme song helps it feel *old*), then 6-10 are the golden era, 11-15 are dark times when the show permanently became campy, 16-22 and now 23-27. I can’t say for certain those old eras because I didn’t watch live until 17

I consider post All-Stars to be a new era due to the minority representation mandate and Jesse Tannenbaum replacing Robyn Kass as casting director
