It's definitely a chill game! A little more atmospheric and slow paced than people expected, but I think that's what I like about it!

What an awesome piece of trivia! Thanks for sharing this 😊

LMAO well that person definitely does sound sad. Imagine thinking that something is unenjoyable because it isn't your taste. Pathetically self-centered.
August 28, 2025 at 8:11 PM
Lmao but what did you say? Did you sound sad?
August 19, 2025 at 2:11 AM
Lmao how do you know this if you don't even own the game yet?
August 16, 2025 at 12:47 PM
I agree with that. Skyrim and Fallout drop the player into a world full of turmoil that only they can fix.

Starfield is a hopeful and idyllic setting where your purpose is just to explore.

I think without the need to "save the world," a lot of players just can't engage with it.

It's my cozy game fr. The sound design is so relaxing-especially on a ship or starstation. Aesthetic is unmatched, and I really dig how space-age the game is.
August 15, 2025 at 4:42 PM
Hot take, but I'm not sure any video game needs to have a cultural impact-especially single player games.
August 15, 2025 at 4:35 PM
Lmao I came to say the exact same thing. Plus also, isn't Arthmor almost universally reviled in the modding community because of all the liberties he takes changing every part of the game? Weird take to be sure...

I might have bad news for you about the reality in which we live...

Louder!
July 13, 2025 at 5:13 PM
I see. Well if you didn't like the game when it came out, I do recommend giving it another try.

The game definitely isn't for everyone. If you're into adrenalin fueled, on-the-rails, cinematic games; this just isn't it.

This is an immeasurably vast, tranquil, and desolate game. Just like space.

Always was.

If you can separate your own enjoyment of something from YouTube reviews, you'll find a polished, complex, and beautiful space exploration game.

It is a little strange that they make Cora stay way down in the basement 😆 thanks for another cozy addition to this game!
June 7, 2025 at 2:20 PM
If you need someone to tell you how to have fun, I would just put it down now. It's a peaceful and optimistic game, but more than anything it's a sandbox.
June 7, 2025 at 2:19 PM
Idk if you've heard, but the narrative has shifted on starfield. "It's good now" since the PlayStation release will be announced soon. So just be ready for that I guess

I think folks are still playing more on Xbox and Game Pass than we might realize. The nexus is almost exclusively Steam version owners.

Gaming articles reference Steam reviews and concurrent player counts on Steam, as if that indicates the popularity of the game. But I think most players are here.

I think this is all cites the loss of modders from the Community Patch project. It's mention that their members aren't as interested in fixing the game.

I have played 1.2k hours of Starfield and use over 300 mods. The community patch ISN'T one of them. Plenty of modders still making great content.

Just a person, same as you 😊
May 9, 2025 at 9:23 PM
That didn't change in the Oblivion remaster?
May 9, 2025 at 5:20 PM
You literally started your post with a question...
May 9, 2025 at 5:19 PM
It's okay to say that something isn't your cup of tea. Plenty of people play and enjoy it.
May 9, 2025 at 5:19 PM
It's nice to see people recognize that there were always tons of loading screens in BGS games and it wasn't something new to Starfield.

They didn't change anything about how cells loaded in the Oblivion remaster. I think it's just noticeable on lower end systems because the loading takes longer.
May 9, 2025 at 5:18 PM
I really wouldn't worry that much. Oblivion had 3 full games and 12 years of Elder Scrolls before it came out. Starfield was brand-new IP with no pre-existing lore.

That said, I think your comment was really unnecessarily mean. That's not how you talk to human beings 👍

I remember playing Starfield HEAVILY during the early release days, and any time I needed to Google something, most of the results were people writing about what thought was going to be in the game.

It was actually unbelievable reading some of them! The game they wanted is thoroughly impossible.
