Over the weekend, I went for a nature walk in Radur, Wales.

On days like this I wonder why my great-great-great grandparents left this place.

Sudden, deep frowns when reading can come from sentences like this:

“Each scar was like a nerve ending rising from her own Deep”

I’ve found southern Wales to be one of the most beautifully places I’ve ever been.

5/5 for Careless People by Sarah Wynn-Williams.

Interesting, damning, and terrifying.

Tintern Abbey, Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 is one of the most breathtaking places I’ve ever seen.

The collapsed stone architecture opening up to green hills is magical.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is art.

The music and story are sublime.

The gameplay is innovative.

This game is nothing short of a masterpiece.

Going to go listen to that album now 🎶

3/5 for Tinkers by Paul Harding.

This book… just isn’t for me. While the writing is poetic, at times poignant, and even impactful. I can’t get over how much the story dragged for me.

Such high, beautiful highs, sullied by tedious and laborious lows. Not for me, still has merit.

Being on a really strong reading streak only to have it destroyed by a book you don’t vibe with fully sucks

If I didn’t like it a little, I’d stop reading. But I like it just enough to inch forward sporadically and slowly.

50% through Tinkers by Paul Harding.

Tedious at times and deeply profound at others, the prose is always masterful and poetic.

At times it feels like nothing is happening. My mind drifts while I read. At others, I pause because of the beauty of what I just read.

25% thru Tinkers by Paul Harding, and it’s feels more like a collection of short stories loosely related through memory than a cohesive story.

Still, the writing itself is masterful. There is some imagery that causes pause with its beauty.

I’m finding it difficult to get momentum in Tinkers by Paul Harding

The prose is beautiful, but —at least for now— it seems, to the sacrifice of flow
