Comics from 1975 and earlier are 50 year old artifacts that deserve real appreciation. The art was hand made, the printing was raw, and the stories still hold up. These survived childhood, trading, and time itself. They are a part of history and worth preserving.

Karate should get harder after shodan. Black belt is not the finish. Learning Eagle Claw reminded me how different it feels to start a new style as a black belt. A beginner builds from zero. A black belt has to unlearn habits and relearn movement. Shodan means first level.

My concession: carbs-and that means rice. Which I love. And pasta. Which I also love.
That being said, I'd rather eat meat than carbs.
