Russian and US “exploration paintings” are somehow similar. I bet I saw something of a sort in St. Louis some years ago. There were French fur traders instead of tzars musketeers (streltsy) but the message was the same #urals #yekaterinburg

Nothing informs you better about the problems of unchecked capitalism than the rows of new factories eating up the prehistorical Thracian countryside. Their sheer number impresses unprepared eye and stimulates many questions.

There is really not much to complain about this morning. The storm is gone, the sun is back in the City. The mehter, Ottoman music band, which for some mysterious purpose was marching on Istiklal around noon proceeded to Taksim. Mahalle Tomtom is basking in Sunday silence. Good Sunday everybody!
