Even the most unnuanced of religious moralists can recognize that prosperity that comes at the expense of human dignity and social cohesion is vain and empty. Yet, the entirety of Amerikan non-civilization runs off this notion that such monstrous application of this antisocial behavior is good.

Innovation and quality of life improvements don't mean anything as long as food, shelter, and healthcare are considered "earned" rights that should only be granted upon initiation into the Protestant work cult rather than simply existing and contributing to civilization.

What does all of this consumerist measurement of prosperity mean when inner cities rot due to suburban parasitism? What does this mean when the right to transit is locked away and regranted as a heavily policed and dangerous 'privilege' to dangle over people as yet another moralizing bludgeon?

Anyone can feasibly go into debt to purchase a gas guzzling concrete princess at a crappy interest rate and invest in a poorly built 5-over-1 with no rent protection in the lease, but this is empty and anti-ecological excess that exponentially pushes class conflict horizontally towards the frontier.
