also found a snarky update from the Glendale Historical society in 1994 about downtown redevelopment that might be about the future Americana: "It seems odd that they want to build a new old-town look when they could rehabilitate the real old-town."

From Glendale Historical Society quarterly: Blocks 29 and 30 of the downtown redevelopment zone. The Redevelopment Agency wants to tear down everything and build an artificial old-town looking development. Included in this area is the Glendale Theatre, the Pendroy's Department Store (156 S. Brand) and the old Barn Furniture Store building. It seems odd that they want to build a new old-town look when they could rehabilitate the real old-town.

But seriously, like realizing that Brand Blvd in Glendale is so wide because it originally accommodated a streetcar, that the weird cement thing at Brand / Mountain is the terminus, all I want is good public transit in this city (by which I mean Los Angeles, but we will include Glendale too)

In the journey through Blue Prince @jacobstrick.bsky.social have been referring to each successive level of puzzle as a level of hell which means our text messages look like this
