It is reasonable to be sad or angry about what is happening. Allowing yourself to feel emotion and understanding those emotions can give you information.

Feelings do not control you, but you can use them to guide you if you let yourself tune in!

Traumatized, no doubt. I was sick to my stomach with worry about how I'll afford my two children's medications without help.

If anyone reading this is hiring for a job that pays a livable wage, I'd love to be able to live on my own terms. Currently homeless, so I'm available for remote work only.

What are your key takeaways from what was discussed? How do you anticipate the bill impacting the homeless and impoverished in our country?

I won't let the world forget.

I live with the knowledge that my ancestors are in history books, proud that they founded two towns in New England. Raised to believe it was a good thing, not questioning how it came to be.

Now, older / wiser, I'll fight to right those wrongs til I have no fight left.

No denying they are evil, but it's inaccurate to say this country has never seen this level of evil; the United States was founded by colonists who violated and murdered Indigenous people, then stole their land.

It's working. I feel panicked. As an unhoused single mom to two chronically sick kids, Medicaid (the only federal program that we utilize) helps me keep my kids alive.
