Ahead of Veterans Day, I was honored to welcome a flight of veterans and their families as they arrived in DC.

Finally feeling up to beginning a knitting project. Luckily I brought this skein (okay, two skeins) of Sweet Georgia Tough Love Sock in the Cider color way on my vacation.

Being immobilized by a broken elbow - no knitting, no gaming, no sports - has brought me to my Infuriated Era. Almost all things irritate the heck out of me - why do we keep the tea bags so high? why are bottles so hard to open? why is our country on fire - well that’s been a bit longer now.

Dr. King spread a message of justice and persisted in the face of hatred.
 
His legacy calls us to serve each other and to continue striving towards a more inclusive and united Minnesota.

My son’s girlfriend just texted - she’s visiting someone in senior housing and wore her “sarcastic “ Reagan-Bush teeshirt. She was expecting complements but got a lot of protests instead. She’s learning a thing or two.

Crocheted a lucky bead necklace to wear to the @pwhl Minnesota Frost vs NY Sirens game. Guess I didn’t designate whose side was lucky - Frost lost in overtime. ☹️🏒
